Sindu Stephen, M.D. was born and raised in Washington D.C. As a second generation Indian-American she decided to return to India after highschool and completed her bachelors and medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in India. She completed her residency in internal medicine at George Washington University, after which she was selected to serve as the chief medical resident. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship at George Washington University. She joined Montgomery Gastroenterology in October 2011 and is currently the director of endoscopy at the Montgomery Endoscopy Center.
Dr. Stephen is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians in September 2013 and American College of Gastroenterology in June 2015.
Dr. Stephen has two children. Outside of medical practice, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her children.
